Meet the team

Our Nature's Flame family is fairly tight-knit.  The heart of our team is based in Taupo in the Central North Island - conveniently, where all the forests are!  This is where our state-of-the art pellet manufacturing plant is, and with it, our Operations and  Admin & Accounts teams are.  The sales team is spread across the country from Auckland to Christchurch to ensure we offer the very best service to our customers.
John Goodwin John Goodwin
General Manager
John is responsible for the Taupo operations and oversees the plant’s feedstock, pellet production and finished product logistics. He has an engineering background with 15 years of operational management experience in the timber processing industry.

John joined  Nature’s Flame at the beginning of the Taupo plant development in 2007. John was previously with Lakesawn Lumber and Winstone Pulp International and in the RNZAF as an aircraft engineer.

Paul-Davy WEB

Paul Davy
Finance Manager

A dedicated Taupo resident, Paul lives with his partner Gaylene and her twins, Aaron and Brooke.  He tried commuting out of Taupo for a number of years but is glad to be spending less time on the road.  For fun he enjoys playing cricket (although he says it's mostly a chance to talk some rubbish with the guys!), and on a Saturday night you can find him dancing 'til dawn at a Ceroc party.

Sue-Ward WEB Sue Ward
Office Administrator

Sue is a born and bred Taupo girl, and she loves it!  Spending time with family and friends is very important to her, even when they are spread all over NZ and Australia.  Sue is married to Chris and has two adult sons.  She loves reading, doing puzzles and is a force to be reckoned with on the golf course!

Nature's Flame is dedicated to inspiring people to love the experience of sustainable wood pellet heat.  Whether you are heating your home, a school, the local cafe or sports club rooms, or need process heat for commercial applications Nature's Flame's range...

"We like the Nature's Flame see through bags. They are bright and attractive and it’s good you can see that the bags are really full, so there’s no deceiving the customer, also they are much easier to handle than the larger bags.
We just love the pellet fire and the pellets."
